Guestbook for King Street & Coburg Square
Susannah Crossman(non-registered)
Thank you so much for these wonderful photographs!! Our family have very deep ancestral roots in Melksham - indeed in Wiltshire! Some of our ancestors lived in Coburg Square - I particularly love (& appreciate!) the wonderful photographs of Cobury Square, though am so very sad to see the homes were demolished! One of our highly likely ancestors was involved in the original funding for the Quaker Meeting House in King Street (Shewring family). Our direct line is through the Beminster family - of whom there were, apparently, quite a number (our ancestors were not shy, apparently, about 'introducing' offspring to the area)!! Thank you again, so much, for your wonderful photographs & website!!
